Advancing Heart Care for Our Community

At Carteret Health Care, we’re always looking for ways to strengthen heart care for our patients and community. One of the most important areas of focus in cardiology today is heart failure — especially heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and heart failure with mildly reduced ejection fraction (HFmrEF).
These two types of heart failure account for up to 75% of all heart failure cases, yet research and treatment guidance for them remains limited compared to other forms.
That’s why Carteret Health Care has joined the American Heart Association’s IMPLEMENT-EF quality improvement initiative, supported by Bayer. Through this national collaboration, our care team will:
Work alongside other hospitals and nationally recognized experts
Access leading educational resources
Share successful quality improvement models
This is another meaningful way we’re collaborating on national initiatives that bring innovation and best practices directly to patients here in Carteret County.
Together, we’re helping create a stronger future for heart care — one heartbeat at a time.
