Carteret Health Care Named to Newsweek’s America’s Best-In-State Hospitals 2026 List

Morehead City, N.C. — Carteret Health Care has been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Best-In-State Hospitals for 2026, marking the hospital’s first year on this prestigious national list. Only 800 hospitals nationwide earned this distinction — and Carteret Health Care is one of just 17 recognized in North Carolina.

The Newsweek award, presented in collaboration with Statista, a global leader in data and industry analysis, identifies hospitals that consistently demonstrate exceptional quality, patient experience, and clinical excellence. The 2026 ranking evaluated hospitals across the country using four data sources: Hospital Quality Metrics, Hospital Reputation, Patient Experience, and Statista’s Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Implementation Survey.
