A New Era of Care: Groundbreaking for the Cedar Point Healthplex

We are excited to mark a historic milestone for healthcare in western Carteret County.   On Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 4:00 PM, the Board of Directors of Carteret Health Care invites the community to join us for the official Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Cedar Point Healthplex.

Located at 1130 Cedar Point Blvd. in Cedar Point, this ceremony represents the start of a $50 million investment dedicated to bringing high-quality, specialized medical services closer to the residents, visitors, and military families who call this region home.

What This Means for Our Community
The 50,000-square-foot outpatient campus is designed to be a comprehensive medical destination, ensuring that high-quality care is accessible exactly where and when it is needed most.

Key features of the new Healthplex will include:

• The Region’s First Freestanding Emergency Department: Offering 24/7/365 emergency care with ten private treatment rooms.
• Ambulatory Surgery Center: Providing convenient access to outpatient surgical services close to home.
• Advanced Diagnostics: On-site imaging capabilities—including CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and MRI—alongside laboratory and pharmacy services.
• Expanded Primary & Specialty Care: Housing a wide range of services through the Carteret Health Care Medical Group.

Building Toward 2027
With site preparation currently underway, construction is anticipated to be completed by Fall 2027. This project reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering a "New Era of Care" to the growing communities of western Carteret County.
