Treatments are done under local anesthetic and there is almost no down time. Our success rate is greater than 95%.

The old-fashioned way of dealing with symptomatic varicose veins is called “vein stripping” or “stripping and ligation”. This is a fairly invasive surgical procedure that typically needs to be performed in a hospital setting under general anesthesia. Patients usually experience significant postoperative pain and most need several days or weeks to recover. There is also a very high failure rate.

Local anesthesia will be used to help minimize discomfort during the procedure. Some patients experience light bruising and a “tightening” sensation along the vein after the treatment is completed. These mild effects dissipate after just a few days.

This is a very common question as we live in a busy world and people need to be able to get back to their normal activities as soon as possible. There is virtually no downtime associated with our cutting- edge treatments and regular activities can typically be resumed immediately. Most patients even drive themselves home from their procedures. Compression stockings will need to be worn for 1-2 weeks afterwards and you may have some very mild restrictions for 1-2 weeks after procedure.
