About Dr. Houskamp

Dr. Daniel Houskamp is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, fracture care, foot and ankle surgery, and joint replacement. His practice focuses on restoring function and mobility through advanced surgical techniques and personalized patient care.

Dr. Houskamp completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he developed an early interest in biomechanics and human performance. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, where he conducted extensive research in musculoskeletal oncology and joint arthroplasty. His work resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications and academic presentations.

Following medical school, Dr. Houskamp completed his orthopedic surgery training at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, graduating at the top of his class. He went on to serve 18 years on active duty in the United States Navy, and he continues to serve in the Navy Reserves. His distinguished military career includes multiple awards, including two Navy Commendation Medals and the Meritorious Service Medal.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Houskamp is married with four children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
